Here I am Again!
At the Internet cafe... connection is unbearably slow! Bah! Oh well... gotta count my blessings.
Spent the weekend away at Terelj National Park, living in a Ger, climbing some amazing mountains, bitten by the wind, saw a Lynx, a few eagles (HUGE), picked Edelweiss, picnicked w loads of mutton, bread and sausages, sat under the stars, ooggled at the Milky Way, saw the Big Dipper, sang endless worship songs in english, mongolian, mandarin, korean and hebrew, told stories and jokes, slept in freezing cold, van kena kaput, kena got stranded, nomad and other curious pple came to help, tried to jump-start the van, van dun respond, stranded for another 8hrs, spent the 8hrs worshipping, feasting and pix-taking, my staff friend hitched ride to the next town, called the City for help, his dad came 3hrs later, tried to fix the van, van still dun respond, drove back to city in the dad's car, reached back home at 11pm.... EXCITING!

Terence flew back liao, so been alone e last few days. But all's good.
Met more students at the crusade meetings. Pretty fun bunch! Did some sharing with the music student leaders. Totally warm folk. They're like, really good musicians, but really humble, and love God deeply!
Yesterday I explored two museums- now I know about mongolia's plants, minerals, animals, geologic history, prehistory, human history, turkic, uighur and mongol empires which ruled from this seemingly forsaken patch of deserty forest, through to the destruction under the manchurians, the arrival of tibetan buddhism in the 17th century, independence from china, the communist purges and finally, in the last 15 years, democracy! Amazing people, in an amazing place, in an amazing time. God is doing amazing things here, revival breaking out, and many many people who love mongolia are here to bless them. And the mongolians are taking initiatives to send missions into china, tibet and siberia! Althought its a young church (10yrs) here, they have a Big Heart! Been thoroughly blessed by their hospitaliy and warmth.

Wall Relief, Mongolian Cultural Museum. The Horse over looks the human; the mother overlooks the child. Speaks volumes on their nomadic heritage.
Weather's good... the snow that threatened to fall did not. Just flakes only. Love the climate here! One more week to go before siberia. In the meantime, will be meeting and fellowshipping w more students and staff, as well as attending a staff's wedding! haha... fun fun. My guts are beginning to spill over! hahahah... Love the mutton here- its everywhere! even in the tea you drink...
